Individual Therapy

Couple Therapy
Kelsi welcomes clients of all orientations and identities and welcomes couples at whatever stage they are in (non-marital, premarital, and marital). She offers traditional talk therapy and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Kelsi approaches healing and growth through a variety of evidence-based methods tailored to address internal conflict, relational struggles, mental health symptoms, and trauma. She integrates Systems Theory to explore how personal and relational dynamics influence perception and behavior. She primarily utilizes Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) approaches to identify, attune to, and heal different parts of the self. Additionally, Kelsi utilizes Sand-Tray Therapy to allow clients to express and process emotions through a uniquely creative, hands-on approach. Mindfulness practices are incorporated to foster self-awareness and emotional regulation. To foster further trauma work and insight development at a quickened pace, she offers Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. Each of these approaches is customized to support clients in their unique journey toward healing and well-being.

Kelsi has advanced training in Internal Family Systems (Level 1) from the IFS Institute and has advanced training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) from the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). Kelsi is certified to offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and psychedelic integration, trained through the Mindscape Psychedelic Institute.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?

What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is available to adults through both individual sessions and small group formats. These offerings are designed to support clients in accessing deeper emotional processing, expanded insight, and meaningful therapeutic change.

KAP involves the use of ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic, in conjunction with psychotherapy. When administered in a safe and supportive therapeutic setting, ketamine facilitates a slightly altered state of consciousness that can expand the "therapeutic window"—the optimal zone for processing emotional material. This altered state often allows for a softening of mental defenses, encouraging deeper introspection and emotional openness than may be accessible through traditional talk therapy alone.

Clients engaged in KAP often report increased access to a range of emotional and somatic experiences, the emergence of subconscious material, and the ability to attune to deeply rooted trauma – with less distress and greater openness to the process. Within this expanded state, individuals may gain profound insights, reframe longstanding beliefs, connect with new perspectives on their inner and relational lives, and identify new positions they can take to break maladaptive patterns. These experiences can support significant shifts in both internal processing and external functioning, often at an accelerated pace.

From a neurobiological perspective, ketamine promotes neuroplasticity by increasing levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and stimulating synaptic growth. These changes enhance emotional regulation and cognitive flexibility, helping to strengthen and sustain the work done in psychotherapy.

Individual KAP Sessions
KAP is a powerful integrative approach for those navigating conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and existential distress, serving as a catalyst for personal healing, self-inquiry, and insight development. By combining the structure and depth of psychotherapy with the transformative potential of ketamine, this modality offers clients a unique pathway toward healing, growth, and greater clarity of needs from self and other to foster desired change.

Typical structure for an individual KAP experience includes an intake session (in which suitability is evaluated), two preparation sessions, and 6-8 KAP sessions, with the potential of additional integration sessions throughout. KAP sessions are typically scheduled weekly, with alternative structures possible, which would be discussed at time of intake and preparation.

Small Group KAP Sessions
Group Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) offers a unique and powerful setting for deep personal exploration and healing. While each participant has an individual internal journey, the group context fosters a sense of community, shared experience, and mutual support, which can enhance the overall therapeutic impact. Following the medicine sessions, group integration work offers an opportunity to reflect, make meaning of insights, and receive support from others. This process can deepen understanding, normalize challenges, and inspire further growth through resonance with others’ experiences. The communal aspect of group KAP can also counter feelings of isolation, promote accountability, and help individuals anchor internal shifts into real life change.

The structure of small group Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) sessions is tailored to the group’s dynamics and therapeutic goals. A minimum of three sessions is typically recommended, though additional sessions may be beneficial depending on the needs of the group. Sessions may be scheduled on a weekly basis or held once per month, based on the preferred pacing and integration needs of participants.
